Animal Crossing: Wild worldYes, I am actually doing this. And, I am giving each Animal Crossing game I play their own review. So if you have any complaints, please keep them to yourself, or tell me in the contact form at the bottom of this page.
To start this review off, I have to say, the Animal Crossing series is one of my favorite game series. I play a lot of different video games, and I usually cannot beat them, but Animal Crossing is one of those games you don't have to beat. It's the kind of game I like to call a "Life Simulation Game". And no, I did not steal that from Peanut Butter Gamer. You start out like you do in any other AC game, you are in a vehicle, talking to an animal. In most of the games, your on a train talking to the cat, Rover. I mean, it's so mean to name that poor cat, Rover. Rover is a dogs name, Nintendo!!! Anyway, lets get back on subject. In this game, however, you are in a car, talking to a turtle named Kapp'n. He was named this, because in the first release of Doubustu No Mori, (Japanese for: Animal Forest) Kapp'n was a frog who took you to a secret island. Now he's just your ordinary taxi driver. Once you get to town, you have to walk into town hall and talk to Pelly or Phyllis, depending on who's shift it is. Once your done, you have to go to the only house that an animal does not currently reside in. The house is absolute garbage, but you can make it look better after you finish your first job. Once you take a step in, the story will not continue until you step out, and talk to Tom Nook. Tom is a raccoon who really only cares about bells, (the currency in AC) so he basically makes you work for him, until he thinks your work has paid off your debt. Once your done with Nook, there's no telling what you can do! Now that you're free, you can buy from Nook. What's this?! You're broke? No worries! You can just shake bells out of trees, or collect shells by the ocean and sell them to Nook. You can do almost anything you want to with your bells now, but I suggest placing just a little in your savings, because you can become rich! But now, its your turn to decide where your Animal Crossing fate will take you! Have fun! My ratings for this game are: 9/10. Its one of the best games in the series! I hope you will enjoy it! So, for Christmas, I got a few new games. The one I have already completed though, is Pokemon X, and that is what I will talk about today.
So, you of course go through the normal Pokemon routine: get introduced to the professor of the game, in this case its Professor Sycamore, he shows you a Pokemon, Bunnelby, asks if you are a boy or a girl, and asks for your name. Easy way to start the game, am I right? *cricket cricket* Sorry, the door was open. Anyway, you wake up in your little house in a little town called Vaniville. You talk to your mom, who forces you to get dressed, and so on. You are new to this town, and when you step outside, you get a pleasant surprise. Two kids are at your doorstep, telling you to come with them. Apparently, Professor Sycamore wants to talk to you. So you follow them to the next town. With great timing, you meet two more kids, Trevor and Tierno. They are from Sycamore's lab, and they brought the first Pokemon that you will ever receive. (I chose Froakie of course! He's my baby!) And you have your first battle with your new friend, Shauna. Then you set out on your new journey to become the Kalos Region's new champion! Enjoy! I personally found this game kinda depressing... It really got to me. The first thing I noticed, was how it took place in France, sorta. The Kalos Region has a strange resemblance to France, more Paris sort. The second thing I noticed, was that Team Flare is like the Nazis. Lysandre wants a perfect world, and that means wiping out Pokemon and anyone who is not on Team Flare. It really got me when the old hack and his pokemon became friends again, too. Made me cry tears of joy! And then I found out about the second storyline. That made me cry even more. If you ever played Platinum, you will remember that character you can never forget: Looker. Yes, that is not his code name though, he lied. It IS his name, as he says in Pokemon X. This is what really made me cry. You have to go on so many missions, but you meet this one girl that you will never forget: Emma. She is a poor, homeless child, living in the alleys of Lumiose City. The poor girl has only one real "family" member, an Espurr named Mimi. Yet, she can't put it in a Pokeball, because she can't afford it. You have to get her back Mimi, and then Emma goes to live with Looker, as him as her guardian. Then, she decides after you get back some lady's Pokemon, that she needs to help Looker, by getting a job. So she goes to who? The scientist from Team Flare, of course. She becomes a stealer under the codename Essentia. She fights people in alleys, and after the battle, she steals the person's Pokemon. It's so sad... You will have to beat the game, if you want to see the whole story, sorry! My Rating: 10/10. I found this as a very good game for people who are starting this series. Start with this game.
